This week, DPM attended the CCCPPP conference downtown at the Sheraton Hotel. It was a busy couple of days jammed pack with lots of information, innovation and excitement.
The Annual CCPPP National Conference is now recognized as the premier event on public-private partnerships (P3) in the world. It began in 1993 and has since grown to include 1,200 senior public and private sector participants, making it the largest annual gathering of P3 decision-makers.
This event brought together professionals from around the world to hear about how Canada and Ontario are the place to be for P3’s. We had the privilege to hear from distinguished guests such as the Governor of Puerto Rico to the Honourable Ministers of Canada. Every keynote address to panel discussion brought together experts in their field that continued to reinforce the importance and the success P3s bring not only here in Canada, but how we can bring Canadian talent to the world.
On day one we got to see the Finch West LRT project won Silver for Project Financing in CCPPP’s 2018 National Awards for Innovation and Excellence in P3s. It was inspiring to see all the local projects that brought in innovative practices to deliver important infrastructure that continues to show off Canada’s dedication to constantly evolving.
Attending the conference has inspired DPM to continue to be involved in the P3 space, as we see the value and legacy these projects can bring. We look forward to seeing the innovation and collaboration of all the stakeholders that continue to bring these ground-breaking projects to Ontario, Canada and the world.
One message that rang loud and clear was “Ontario is open for business” and DPM is ready to help bring these projects to fruition.
